Rachel Tetrault

Rachel is Leadnow's Field Organizer for Western Canada, working with teams on the ground to build capacity and make change on Leadnow's current main campaigns: Voting Reform, Climate Change and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). In the 2015 election, Rachel worked with over 500 volunteers on the ground in Vancouver to build a network of neighbourhood teams to mobilize people to Vote Together to defeat the Harper Conservatives.

Before joining Leadnow, Rachel worked as a Settlement Youth worker with the Vancouver School Board supporting newcomer immigrant and refugee youth in civic engagement and youth-led projects. Her experience in social justice work stems from her time in Quebec organizing with the Student Movement and the Palestinian Solidarity Movement where she became passionate about working with people to take collective action for the change we want to see.

Check out Rachel's session to hear how her organizing team grew from four to hundreds in the lead-up to the last federal election.
