Arie Ross

Arie is the coal campaign coordinator and a provincial organizer at Dogwood Initiative, actively organizing around local sovereignty over shared resources since 2012. To date, her primary focus has been on engagement and electoral organizing, while working to stop US thermal coal exports through BC's ports. She studied philosophy and policy at the University of British Columbia and at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

In the 2015 federal election, Arie organized entirely volunteer-run canvassing programs, channeling people’s passion into action to help change the government, and build long term people-power in the process. She'll share stories and lessons learned in her session.
