Session 5: Coast Salish Protocol

April 23, 2016
2:30pm - 3:30pm

Museum of Vancouver

Coast Salish Protocol is a practical workshop for assisting organizers on how to decolonize their activism or organizing practice through the lens of Coast Salish Protocol. Coast Salish Protocol is unique principles for advancing decolonization and redress within Coast Salish territories at events, actions, or with campaigns.

The truth is, we have to make mistakes sometimes to learn hard lessons. This workshop will highlight lessons rooted in a historical understanding of the Coast Salish peoples of Vancouver (Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish), and raise framework questions participants can carry with them into their work.

Presenter: Khelsilem, Kwi Awt Stelmexw
