Keynote: Not Just "Happily Ever After" - How we Organized to Defend the SeaTac Victory

On November 3, 2013 the historic YES for SeaTac ballot measure passed by 40 votes and won SeaTac airport workers $15 per hour, paid sick leave and work retention. A month later, a lawsuit was filed to block the implementation of Prop 1 and was held in court for almost two years. In that time period, airport worker Socrates Bravo and community organizer Claudia Alexandra Paras will share experiences and reflections of how workers and community members persevered to organize and continue to build power.

Presenters: Claudia Alexandra Paras, Puget Sound Sage, and Socrates Bravo, SeaTac
